The Association of Canadian Archivists Foundation (ACAF) was established in June, incorporated, and granted charitable status.

Hosted the first virtual auction via eBay Canada, with proceeds to be awarded as scholarships in 2009.

Held an end-of-year donation campaign and conference raffle/pin sale.

Participated in Members-Input and Annual General Meeting sessions at ACA Conference.

Hosted second eBay Canada auction and attracted new regular donors through CanadaHelps.org.
Established the Scholarship Endowment Fund to provide long-term scholarship support for archival studies students.

Awarded the Ancestry Continuing Education Award to support Indigenous archival education.
Continued accepting applications for the award with a focus on diversity in the archival profession.

Adjusted the Ancestry Award timeline to allow for pre-registration support; postponed awarding in 2019 due to COVID-19, planning for two awards in 2020.
Shifted student support to cover conference registration for up to 50 students.
Endowment Fund continued to grow, with additional funds earmarked for investment.
2020
Endowment Fund neared the threshold to allow adjudication of scholarship awards.
Introduced option for donations during ACA conference registration and membership renewal.
Five-year agreement with Ancestry concluded.

Renewed agreement with Ancestry, maintaining the award with new criteria to support Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour in archival education.

Supported three archival students in the Emerging Voices panel at ACA Conference.
Created a new conference travel bursary for students and emerging professionals.

Began two-year sponsorship agreement with Artefactual Systems Inc., funding virtual conference attendance for students and travel support for the 2025 conference in Ottawa.
